Private School

For the student who needs an alternative to the conventional school program, The Achievement Center is the answer. While we follow the general requirements for graduation from a public school and are fully accredited, we also allow for the particular needs of each student. We understand that not all students learn the same way and at the same rate.

Our Approach

Each student’s curriculum is designed with personalized attention to his or her academic needs and style of learning. We recognize that some students may need a structured approach and much reinforcement, while other students work better independently and at a faster pace. We therefore offer performance-based enrollment, both accelerated and open-ended, depending on a student’s needs.

In addition, our low student-to-teacher ratio translates into an atmosphere in which students receive a great deal of individual attention. This atmosphere allows students to learn that they can learn. One of the greatest obstacles to academic success appears when students believe that they are unable to learn. At The Achievement Center we are able to provide positive reinforcement to students who lack belief in their abilities. We are able to teach them, in other words, that they can achieve.

McKay Scholarship

The Achievement Center is eligible to enroll recipients of McKay Scholarships, and our personalized approach to learning and low student-to-teacher ratio creates an environment that allows students who earn this scholarship to flourish.

Part-Time Program

Finally, we offer part-time programs for students who for one reason or another cannot attend school full-time or who have left school but still require additional credits to receive a diploma.
